5200 meters! China's deepest geothermal exploration well has been drilled

On April 8, it was learned from the press Office of Sinopec that the Fushenhot 1 well deployed by Sinopec in Hainan was successfully drilled, with a depth of 5,200 meters, refreshing the record of China's deepest geothermal scientific exploration well. The successful drilling of this well reveals the formation and enrichment mechanism of deep geothermal in South China, which means that China's dry hot rock exploration has made new breakthroughs in the region and depth, and is of great significance for promoting the large-scale development and utilization of geothermal resources in South China and facilitating the adjustment of regional energy structure.
